By focusing on this feature, Akita prefecture has an original Maiko/Geisha (Japanese professional dancers) culture, and you can meet them in the Senshu Park. (just 10 mins walk from Akita station). As a special session for cruise ship passengers, beautiful Akita Maiko will show you Japanese dance, traditional games, and tea ceremony! If you have own camera, you can take pictures with them.

Traditional dance and games(by Maiko)
With Akita traditional songs, Maiko show you two dance performances.
And then, they choose a few guests to do traditional games together and decide who is the strongest guest from them. At the end of games, Maiko gives the winner Akita original souvenir. How about spending a beautiful time with Akita Maiko?
Picture Time
Let’s take a picture with your favorite Maiko! So as not to confuse, two of Maiko separate and stand one by one, so please make a line in front of them. Why don’t you take Akita original souvenir photos with them?
Tea Ceremony (by Maiko)
With Japanese refreshment, Akita maiko offers you Japanese tea. Please spend a relaxing time with Maiko!
