About

An all-natural refrigerator blowing out chilly winds of 0~5℃, even in midsummer
Nagabashiri Cave is at the bottom of the Kunimi Mountain (454m) and located near National Road 7, making it very accessible by car. Due to a natural phenomenon caused by wind blowing out of the boulders on the mountain surface, temperatures near the area are kept cold and was therefore used as a refrigeration system from around 100 years ago. Near elevations of 200m, you can see subalpine wildflowers which usually blossom around 1000m, such as the Rosa acicularis and lingonberry plant. In addition to provided walking trails and observation decks, it takes only about 20~~30 minutes to walk around the facility, making this area perfect for wildlife observation.
