A traditional performance 100 years in Noshiro
“Bangaku is a form of traditional performance with dance, drama, and music. Bangaku held in autumn, the harvest season is called Sakubangaku that people show application toward abundant harvest od the year. This tradition have been practiced in rural Akita since Edo period.

An investigation in 1993 revealed that there was about 140 community in Akita practiced Bangaku, including the one already disappeared. Today, we all work and live as an individual. Everyone have different speed and habit of days. Still, we gather and practice Bagagaku together every year. It is a reunion of community and wishes for prosperity in the future. It will be a pleasure for us if we can bring you to the world of Bangaku too. Please enjoy our performance. ”
