A museum filled with the rich history of the Heian period
The final stage of the war that bore the appearance of Sir Fujiwara Ohshu and a samurai-oriented society of the middle ages was fought in this district of Kanazawa. “Gosannen War Literary Collection” (Written by Nanzan Ebisu, replicated for usage as important cultural asset), kyozutu (metal cases containing scriptures a designated prefectural cultural asset), artifacts found from the excavation research of ancient tombstones, and treasures from the Kanazawa Hachimangu (Shrine for the God of war) are exhibited in the museum.
Please stop by the museum to learn of numerous legends that have been passed down about the war in Kanazawa district, such as the Disarray of Flying Geese in “Heian No Kaze Wataru Park”, Komyotsuka Kagemasa, and Kabuto Hachiman Shrine.
